Dr. Salvatore Rifici, MD is the Medical Director for Sussex County Aftercare
Center. Dr. Rifici is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine (2004-Present) and is a
member of the AMA and ASAM. He is licensed to practice Medicine in New Jersey
and New York (retirement status). Dr. Rifici received his BS degree in Science from
Fairleigh Dickinson University/Teaneck NJ. He then received his M.D. degree from
the Universidad Del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico. Dr. Rifici did an internship in
Internal Medicine at “5 th Pathway” Muhlenburg Hospital in Plainfield NJ; a
Residency in Internal Medicine at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn/Queens
N.Y. (CMC); a Fellowship in Nephrology at CMC; was the Emergency Room and
hospital physician at West Hudson Hospital (Kearny NJ); was in private practice in
Weehawken and North Arlington NJ; Campus Project (State of New Jersey) in
Secaucus NJ (1993-1996); Physician at Cura, Secaucus NJ 1993-1996 (drug rehab);
Physician at Turning Point Secaucus/Paterson (1998-2018); Physician at New
Hope/Secaucus (1998-2014); Physician at Straight & Narrow (1998-2012);
Physician at Integrity House (1999-2006); Physician at Sunrise House/Lafayette NJ
(2015-2017); Medical Director at Inter-County Drug/Alcohol Treatment Center
(2006-2019); Medical Director at North East Lifeskills (2008-Present). Dr. Rifici
served in the U.S. Army Reserve (1964-1973) and Active Duty (1967-1969).
