Urine Drug Testing and Blood Toxicology Testing

RCCD provides onsite urine drug testing and blood toxicology testing as part of a comprehensive approach to medication-assisted treatment, recovery support, and patient safety. The availability of onsite testing allows for timely clinical assessment, supports treatment planning, monitors medication adherence, and helps identify the presence of substances that may impact a patient’s health, recovery progress, or response to treatment.

Rapid onsite testing enables clinicians to obtain objective information that can be used to guide individualized care, promote patient accountability, identify emerging risks, and facilitate therapeutic discussions regarding substance use. Testing also supports regulatory compliance and helps ensure the safe administration of opioid treatment medications.

Our urine drug testing panels screen for the following substances and metabolites:

AMI (Amphetamine/Methamphetamine), TCA (Tricyclic Antidepressants), BAR (Barbiturates), BUP (Buprenorphine), MET (Methamphetamine), OPI (Opiates), PPX (Propoxyphene), THC (Cannabis), BZO (Benzodiazepines), COC (Cocaine), MDMA (Ecstasy), OXY (Oxycodone), PCP (Phencyclidine), Fentanyl, Nor fentanyl, Medetomidine, Dexmedetomidine, Methadone, Morphine, Xylazine, and Alcohol.

In addition to urine drug testing, onsite phlebotomy services collect blood specimens for laboratory testing that supports the overall health and wellness of our patients. Laboratory testing includes Complete Blood Counts (CBC), Hepatitis Panels (including Hepatitis A, B, and C screening, as clinically indicated), Comprehensive Metabolic Panels (CMP), liver function testing, and other medically necessary laboratory studies. These tests assist us in identifying co-occurring medical conditions, monitoring the impact of substance use on physical health, evaluating treatment readiness, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of opioid treatment services.

Together, onsite urine drug testing, blood toxicology testing, and routine laboratory monitoring enhance patient care by supporting informed clinical decision-making, improving treatment outcomes, promoting early identification of health concerns, and fostering a safe and effective recovery environment.
